Website launched for ‘Poblanos’

An internet site to connect Poblanos—people from the Mexican state of Puebla—living in the United States with  fellow members of their community has been introduced by Poblano politician Alejandro Armenta Mier, who is seeking make  social change through the use of new technology.

Armenta Mier launched the Website during the recent Mexican celebrations in New York, and emphasized that this new project does not follow any political or partisan agenda.

“This site is a social space for the people, not a political one, or with any intention of promoting a particular party. It is a space for coming together and developing social projects with each other,” he said.

The site offers information related to news, the environment, family, women and immigrants settled in the United States. Its Web address is [which translates to “Puebla unites us”].
