South Asians urged to report school bullying

“If you tolerate the small things, it will escalate. … Bullying against South Asian students has risen significantly after 9/11, according to a study by the Department of Education, and parents and other members of the community must be proactive in reporting such events,” said Kiran Ahuja, executive director of the White House Initiative on Asian and Pacific Islanders, who had organized a daylong “Bullying Prevention Summit” on Oct. 30 at Hunter College in New York City.
