On Saturday, May 31, Jackson Heights will see some extra legs when fans rally for their teams for the FIFA World Cup, which kicks off June 12.

Organizers of the Mi Mascota, Mi Selección (My Pet, My Team) event are inviting dogs and owners to dress in the colors of their favorite team and head to St. Mark’s Church to enjoy events and entertainment for dogs and families alike, according to Queens Courier‘s Angy Altamirano.

The turnout will likely see a heavy representation of colors from three Latin American countries.

“It looks like we are going to have a large participation of Colombian, Mexican and Ecuadorian pets, which are the majority in Corona, Jackson Heights and Woodside in Queens,” organizer Mauricio Hernandez said in Spanish.
