Guatemalan Community Grows and Thrives in the Carolinas
Only two years ago there was no Guatemalan government representation in the Carolinas; today, the Raleigh consulate serves a thriving community of 120,000, Qué Pasa Noticias reports. Guatemalans live mostly in North Carolina (80,000), and their country’s native languages are well represented (mainly Mam, Chuj, Ixil and Kanjobal).
