SAGE at 40

Forty years ago in Greenwich Village, a group of LGBT activists formed an organization that would offer services to seniors within their community. SAGE (Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders), as it came to be known, now has five centers in New York City, and 28 affiliates in 20 states offering services, programs and advocacy for LGBT elders.

Annefleur van Wanroij and Zoe van Alphen from the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht went to the Edie Windsor SAGE Center on Seventh Avenue in Manhattan to speak with some seniors who go there, and with the director.
