For more than 22 years, A&A Bake and Doubles and Roti Shop has been serving Trinidadian and Caribbean food, initially in Queens before moving to Brooklyn in 2002. Last week, the Bedford-Stuyvesant eatery was among the five honored this year as “America’s Classics” by the James Beard Foundation.

Alexandra Simon writes for Caribbean Life:

“Besides the food and the price, our food is excellent and cheap and we serve it all day,” said Noel Brown.
