School resource centers launched for immigrants

The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) has launched school-based Family Resource Centers (FRC) in all five boroughs. The centers intend to combat immigrant student dropout rates, give immigrant parents access to ID documents that will allow them to enter schools, as well as provide workshops for parents and facilitate access to financial services.
