A DACA Chef in Astoria

In the 20 years he has been in the U.S., Mexican immigrant Alfonso Verdis has worked his way up from dishwasher to chef at Sanfords Restaurant in Astoria, raised three children and received DACA.

But now with just one year left on his DACA status, and the Trump administration eying plans to slash parts of the program, Verdis worries about the future.  Follow him on the job, and watch as the chef talks about his concerns in the BRIC TV video above.
