On occasion of the sixth Bolivian Parade and Festival 2017, the Centro Cultural Bolivia (Bolivian Cultural Center) presented a parade featuring the best traditional costumes from the country, located in the high plateaus of the Andean mountains.

The event featured a number of fraternities and dance troupes, who marched along Westchester Avenue in Port Chester.

The parade took place on Aug. 27, and a festival was later celebrated in St. Peter’s Church.

The groups Fraternidad Morenada, Central of Port Chester, Fraternidad La Diablada, Kullawada Bolivia and Comparsa Los Chichis performed and marched in the parade.

Councilman Luis Marino was the parade’s grand marshal. He marched alongside Mayor Fritz Falanka, other council members and the directors of Centro Cultural Bolivia.
