One year ago, Tom Cat Bakery fired dozens of workers for not providing documents showing work eligibility following a Department of Homeland Security audit. This set off a campaign for immigrant labor protections. Former workers like Elias Rojas continue to call on Tom Cat Bakery and other companies to adopt recommendations from the National Employment Law Project and National Immigration Law Center in the event of ICE action.

Hear from Rojas and staff attorney Laura Huizar of NELP in a video produced by Karina Hernandez and Max Parrott and published in Queens Latino.
