The Washington Heights-Inwood Coalition has shut down after 34 years of providing programs and resources for families, as well as the city’s first community mediation program, reports El Diario-La Prensa.

Community leaders attribute the financial crisis facing Latino nonprofits to rules imposed by the Bloomberg administration when it comes to accessing city funding.
