Village residents are outraged over the city’s crackdown on performers at Washington Square Park. Locals gathered at a Community Board 2 meeting to speak out against the new rules, which ban performers from soliciting donations within 50 feet of a monument. Our Town Downtown reports the crackdown disrupts a proud 60 year tradition.
